Wedding Season is Open

“Wedding Season”  traditionally has meant  June- for many many decades. But the wedding season of this generation is actually year round and the 2015 KDP Wedding Season officially opened Saturday!

After just 2 short months of break, I found myself packing gear, formatting cards, and gathering the team to head to the capital city for Kendall and Ryan’s wedding!

I wanted to begin the season by acknowledging a few people I’m truly grateful for:

Jana Candler for heading up the Jana Candler Photography network! It’s a privilege and pleasure to be in community with you!

For my regular second shooters Kristy Kaliope and Christy Mason and Jane Howard-these gals are my right hand ladies and they rock!  Thanks to you, Jane, for helping the season get off to a fun start!

And for this wedding, due to personal lack of stamina because of a month of off and on illness, I hired a camera gear carrier-it may not be a one time position because it was REALLY nice to not touch the heavy bag and light poles all day!

Thanks to Garrett in Columbia for joining our team for the day! You were a life saver!

And for my new KDP  team member-Abby Moore! I’m SO grateful for you! Abby is my new wedding blogger!

She has been working behind the scenes during the off months to get this blog caught up!  At the end of  this week, the 2014 wedding season will be officially blogged in full! I am thrilled to have her on my team this year-weddings will show up here a lot sooner now!  (:

And I am always grateful for all of my clients-especially brides and grooms and their families-who trust me to capture the most important day of their lives for them!

In just a few short weeks the images from Kendall and Ryan’s wedding will be back from the editors and showcased here.

Until then here are a few Capital City teasers for you. Congrats to the newlyweds!
